I drive good boy of 5-years-old claims after police caught driving in car by himself

A five-year-old boy caught behind the wheel of his mother’s car all by himself insisted that he was perfectly capable of driving solo.

A five-year-old boy caught behind the wheel of his mother’s car all by himself insisted that he was perfectly capable of driving solo.

‘The police say I drive good,’ said Adrian Zamarripa, who was pulled over by Utah State Police over the weekend as he attempted to drive hundreds of miles to buy a Lamborghini.

Officers initially thought Adrian was an impaired driver and were shocked to discover their suspect had been born in 2015. Even more shocking was the youngster’s intended destination – California, which is at least 800 miles away, although the boy did not specify what city he was headed to.

‘Turns out it was this young man, age 5, somehow made his way up onto the freeway in his parents’ car,’ Utah Highway Patrol said in a tweet on Monday.

‘His story is that he left home after an argument with mom, in which she told him she would not buy him a Lamborghini. He decided he’d take the car and go to California to buy one himself.’

‘He might have been short on the purchase amount, as he only had $3 dollars in his wallet,’ police continued to say.

Adrian’s 16-year-old sister, Sidney Estrada, was reportedly babysitting at the time of the incident but fell asleep when her brother took the car keys and drove off.

‘Oh, I lost it. I called people because I was scared,’ she told 4029tv. ‘How does a little 5-year-old, 11 years younger than me, do it – and I can’t?’
