Index case of Coronavirus in Osun discharged after 38 days
The index case of Coronavirus in Osun State has been discharged 38 days after he was taken in, as confirmed by the state's commissioner for health, Rafiu Isamotu.
The index case who arrived Osun from the United Kingdom, was discharged after testing negative twice for the virus.

In a statement released on Saturday May 2, the health commissioner revealed that three health workers in the state have recovered from the disease. With this development, the total number of active cases in the State is now eight.
Isamotu said;
“Thirty Eight days after he was taken in, the State of Osun today discharged its COVID-19 index case after testing negative twice for the virus.
“The case had arrived Osun from the United Kingdom before being taken into the Isolation Centre, and subsequently to the care facility, where he has been receiving adequate medical care until his full recovery on Friday.
“Similarly, three health workers in the State who tested positive for Coronavirus have also tested negative for the second time and are now free of the virus.
“With this development, the total number of active cases in the state is now eight.”
